8h30 - CISN - We jetted back down to the south side to see J'lyn Nye, Bruce Bowie, and Sean Borke. They asked if I happened to have the gold medal with me so I pulled it out of my pocket and passed it around. We talked about it's composition, that it's gold plated, and even though Easter is just around the corner there is NO chocolate inside!! The big question to Karl was what was it like to work with Lori-Ann and have her open up as much as she did? J'lyn said she couldn't read it fast enough to find out what happened and was amazed at how open and honest it is. The conversation was amazing and fun and it flowed like old friends getting together!

7h50 The Team 1260 AM - met up with Jason Greggor first thing this morning and chatted about my biography. He asked if it was hard to open up with Karl (Wilberg) when he started writing my story, what happened that I would fall 20 feet backwards off a cliff mountain biking, my favourite part of the book. Jason asked Karl about the "tipping point" at the Olynpics.   The Team had a technical difficulty this morning where their computers had crashed an hour earlier and they couldn't play any commercials! During the interview The Team were sprinting around at break neck speed to get the system up and running as usual in between Karl and I fielding all of their questions.

9h00 - Dropped in with a copy of my book to see His Worship Mayor Mandel. We chatted a bit about the book and what I've been up to lately. He had read this morning's article in the Edmonton Journal and thought it was good. Mr. Mayor makes you feel like you're sitting in the livingroom and catching up with a good friend. Before leaving he wished me good luck with the book tour.

12h40 - CTV - Karl and I were on the sofa chair set with Carrie Doll for a quick 5 minute chat. We talked about the emotional aspect of writing the book and the best way to sum it up was a combination of being cross-examined, interrogated, and interviewed all at once by Karl!!

20h30 - CHED 630AM - We had a great visit and conversation with Al Stafford. He had read a good portion of the book by the time we got there and we talked about the age factor of me being the mature cyclist from the Games, the "Cuban strongmen experience" from 1994, and about Karl creating a new cycling dictionary because anyone who rides knows that these definitions really describes the pain and the pleasure of cycling.
